I want to buy a floor shifter for my 6 cyl 68 bronco. I only find shifters for 8 cyl. Is there a special kind of floor shifter I need to look at or will a 8 cyl floor shifter work??
The shift rods have to be shortened. Tom's sell's the kit with rods already cut and welded. If you do the shortening yourself, the Duff's shifter handle has a 1" offset getting it away from your leg a bit.
I bought the six cylinder floor shifter from Tom's and installed it over the winter when my column shifter gave way when I was plowing its easy to install and works great...I would recommend spending the money espically for what its for...
I will have one from my bronco for sale in a month or so. It is bent already to give room for log legs and is a 8 cyl converted to 6 cyl I have been running for 3 years.
