Does anyone know for sure if the chrome "289" emblem appeared on the first 289-equipped Broncos to roll off the assembly line in May of 1966? Did they appear on both front fenders or just one?
I see certain "Bronco" fender scripts may have an additional "SPORT" upper appendage add-on on them for the SPORT edition but others seems to have the extra appendage with the bucking bronco inside the rectangle but without the word SPORT inside. Is that for later years or for 66? Is there any way to determine if one has the Sport edition or other special edition from the VIN, without relying on the presence of potentially replaced parts, like argent grilles (front part may be no longer reliably present due to common collisions, not that I see evidence of front-end collision but that's just typical)?
Are the 66 F100 steering wheel and horn ring push identical to the 66 Bronco steering wheel and horn ring push? If identical do they even have the same part numbers?
Last question, is there any definitive picture of and source to buy ALL the engine original style engine bay decals and any other decals and hanging warning placards and stickers that went everywhere else on the Bronco in 66? Thank all of you classic Bronco wizards in advance for any and all advice!!!! Ride on!!!
