• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

After doing the Marti report my bronco was produced in October 1966 but Sold January 67. It’s deemed a 67 and BRONCO but has a lot of the 66 remnants. I do have the slightly curved front bumper and then the straight rear bumper. I can guarantee you it is not the same as the 68 and up

bumpers

I think you are missing the point. If you have a 67 and don't have bumpers you can put the later bumpers on and still be "correct"

I have bumpers

I’ve got them man, just split and Re welded to an undesirable appeal for my taste I guess.

I think what I’m trying to achieve is a slightly original 1967 BRONCO. A lot of the other people on here have other plans for the BRONCO’s which I totally respect and I guess I’m trying to accomplish what I would like which is probably not so common for most people. 68-77 bumpers are all that are sold now, which is why they are deemed “correct”.

I still have the 170 in.³ straight six motor in it. Most people tore that out and put the biggest motor they could fit under the hood. I’m not doing that.

You would probably be surprised. Many of us in this community strive for originality, and is much more common of an endeavor than you would think. That being said, we understand your desire to keep this an original build.

66 (and some 67s) straight end bumpers are pretty rare, and expect to spend $400+ a piece on some nice ones (if you buy them from someone who knows what they have). That is what I am prepared to pay.

Early and late bumpers

I have some 66 bumpers that are totally wasted in the center too much welding too bent up chrome shop wouldn’t touch them their junk . So I cut the ends off which are good and got a nice set of later bumpers that I will cut the ends off and weld the 66 ends to the later bumpers . I will probably make a gig to hold them in alignment. I might even narrow up the front a little so it doesn’t hang out past the front fenders these are for my 1/2 cab bronco . Back 30 years ago or so somebody really tortured these 66 bumpers
