70 Bronco 3 Speed Manual (303) Transmission Seal Leak & Transfer Case Leak

I have a pretty nasty Transmission Seal leak as well as a Transfer case leak. Miraculously the leak has lessened...which means there is just simply less fluid to leak out. I am trying to break free the fill plug to check the transmission oil level and I am having no luck. Need to drive this over to my buddies to get it on the lift. However, don't want to drive the distance with little transmission fluid.

Any tips for breaking this damn fill plug free? Best I can work with is a breaker bar and some jack stands to get me a little more leverage. Don't want to break or stirp the plug either.

Try a butane plumber’s torch and apply a little heat to the plug. You may find that trying to tighten it a smidge and then loosen it may work. Just be sure the area where you apply the heat is free from oil or other flammables.
