Hey-
OK OK- silly Q..

I have the 73 Bronco Explorer..

& I'm wondering if a LEFT hand side (cable remote controlled) side view mirror can be installed on the RIGHT side of the truck...

I have a left one ( though it came from the factory without a right side view mirror)

This is the RANGER package mirror- the one with the DEEP frame around it. It has a large ball joint on the back where it meets the support arm..

So can't I just FLIP the mirror in the ball socket and plant the sucker on the passenger door?

Huh?

:)
What I ment was ,why wont it fit. I dont think there was a distinction between left and right when it comes to the org door mirrors. You, as you mention , should just be able to simply rotate the mirror on the ball joint for that side of the truck.

i have a right side view mirror, but its pretty pointless since its so tiny, its like lookin out a porthole. plus somebody always screws it up. just for symmetrical looks i guess.

Thanks again to all of you- though I DID win* the Ebay cable remote mirror on Sunday night, I received a NICE email from another Va. resident which reads as follows:
____________________________________________
just thought i'd pass this along. saw your post to classicbroncos about the remote mirrors. if you ever want another one, you can buy new ones from virginia classic mustang - part#ER-495

http://www.vamustang.com

kevin in mechanicsville
____________________________________________

Thanks :) Kevin! Now everyone can have one- they're on page 79 of the online catalog...
