I have a 1974 Explorer edition that I'm finishing. A member on here asked for pictures, so I sent her some, so I've decided to post it this weekend. I'm not done installing the new rear panels, and rear seat. I also planned on detailing the engine bay and having the Ford truck dealer (a friend) repair the passenger rocker, and paint both Rockers.
The paint is all original and in pretty good condition, NO BONDO! The door posts are excellent with no door sag. This is a daily driver Bronco. The engine, auto trans, power steering, and brakes all work well. It has factory 4.11 gears with limited slip. Fly in and drive it home.
New items include Red carpet kit and factory holddowns, new seat foam, and OEM correct seat covers, door panels, arm rests, rear interior quarter panel covers, all new lenses and turn signal rubber pads, new just out of the box front bumper and bumperettes. The tires are like new, and the factory hubcaps are nice. The exhaust and shocks are fairly new also. There are no rust issues. The front floors were both patched at the seam with a 4x4x14 angled piece of galvanized metal, then seam sealed and POR15'd. The rest of the floors are fine, and anywhere there was surface rust it was covered with two coats of POR 15. If I finish everything I mentioned above, I'll want over 15K, if I sell it as is, I'll take less. Let me know what you think.
The 1974 Explorer is the only Red/Red Early Bronco Ford made. The interior is beautiful!
