How much do you peeps think a running 96 all wheel drive explorer is worth? It's a 5.0, auto with 250k.

The body is decent, interior is a little rough. Thinking about selling it.

Do you think I would be better off pulling the motor and trans to sell separately or would it be better as a whole vehicle that a guy can hear run?

I would want to hear it run... Plus be able to get all the the pieces I would need for the conversion... Then maybe sell off unused parts to recoup some of my expenses...

But that is me.

I paid $500 for one very similar to that about 2 years ago. If it could be a reliable daily driver should be able to get $1000-$1500 in Placerville this time of year.

I'd pay $1000 for a running explorer with a 5.0 and 4x4 no question. Wish I could find one in North Florida.

It hasn't been registered in quite a while. The guy I got it from was just driving it on his property. It smelled a little rich when I drove it to load it up and the idler pulley needs to be replaced.
