Aftermarket Seat Reviews

Hi, I am looking for some advice on the best aftermarket seat that isn’t at the high end of the price point but something that’s also comfortable. I have heard that some of the budget friendly seats are super firm and not all that comfy. Just bought the “dream” Truck and looking for advice from those who are sitting in new seats as I want to buy the right set the first time. Haha. Thanks so much for any input/info.

I have the TBP custom seats and overall happy with them. Two fronts and a rear for $849 + shipping. This includes the seat brackets. I would spend the extra money and get their premium seats if I had to do it all over again.

I went with bestop trailmax seats and put 1 summer and fall on them so far. I'm very happy with them, comfortable and well built, price is tough to beat.

I bought the bestop trailmax 2's for one of my trucks, and Im not too fond of the material. I know its made to withstand the elements, but its a little to plastic like for my taste. I prefer my restored stock seats.

I had vinyl Bestop seats in my old Jeep CJ5. Wasn't real fond of them (not enough lumbar support for me and too hot/sticky).

In my Bronco I went with Mastercraft in the front. I don't recall the model, but they are cloth, with adjustable lumbar support and a fixed back. The driver's side had a quality problem (they forgot to put in a plastic piece to keep the lumbar support from cutting through the mesh it then rubbed on). But even with that it held up for about 20K miles, and I was able to fix it myself. Overall I'm very happy with them, maybe the only drawback being that the side bolsters are a little high which is great for sitting, but makes getting in and out a little harder.

I do have Bestops (cloth this time) in the back seat. I squeezed high backed "front seat" back there. I never sit in the back for very long, but the people who have haven't complained at all.

(See post #7 on page 1 of my build thread for more on the seats, and post #38 on page 3 for more on the Mastercraft seat repair)

I just installed 2008 era Audi A4 heated and power seats. Flat bottom rails which made for an easy install. They are really comfortable.

They also have power lumbar support. The amount of adjustment in the seats is great. They sit quite low even though they are power.

I'm going to get a rear seat from one of the vendors as the leather pattern looks very similar.

Post some pics please. I'd like to see how they look.

Baja XRS are the most comfortable of any aftermarket seats I have installed, I have had pretty much every brand. Though I prefer a more stock look in most of my Broncos.
