Not much to update since I have been swamped with other projects, except I finally bought the donor vehicle for engine/trans/axles etc.

Are you planning to use the original frame or shorten/mod the SD frame & put the bronco body on top? I would think the SD frame would be too wide.

I will build my own tube chassis. I would have started last weekend but I bent the u-strap on my bender so I had to order a new one and just received it yesterday, so hopefully after the weekend I will have some real updates.

Once I get the back half of the chassis done then I can set the tub on it and then fit the doors and finish the body work I've started.

Once that is done I can strip the SD donor and start setting wheel base and get the engine set up and finish the front half of the chassis. I'll have to plan this cuz I will need some extra hands.

BTW, I am class of '06...Whoop!

Finally got around to bending some tube. Should have the tub mounted in the next few weeks and working on the cage.

Not much to update but ready to set the tub on and make sure the body mounts are aligned properly then I can fully weld the rails and mounts and start working on the cage.

I didn't work on the bronco for nearly a year, ended up renovating my parents house which took forever, then my computer died with all my design files, so I am starting from scratch again. I was able to calibrate my dies to the bend-tech program this past weekend and should be working on the cage in the next week or two and I will post some pictures. It's sad, all my tubing is rusty :(

It will be a few weeks before I get to start on it again...I broke my wrist snowboarding this past weekend :( At least I have time now to redesign in bend-tech and update my files. I'll post some cage ideas when I get back home.

are you putting a stock body on this chassis? I'm dealing with how to attach a cage thru the floor to rect tubing across the body mounts taking the place of my BL blocks. I think i've got an idea, but I have to buy some pretty thick tubing first and then do some machining to it for a HUGE bolt to come up from the bottom and tie it together so it can be taken apart if necessary.

Took the bronco off the fab table and put it on leveling jack stands I built:

Stripped the donor and pulled the engine, trans and t case out. Front of engine to tail shaft on tcase is 7ft....may have to find a different trans or will lengthen the front fenders to accommodate. I will get the drivetrain in position and get to adjust and figure out what I want to do later in the week.
