I’m switching my engine accessories assembly to the Explorer serpentine, and I figured….”while I’m in there”.

I’m looking for Recommendations for an A/C system.

If you do AC, then you need to insulate your Rig. A Bronco is nothing more than a Bread box, insulate the roof, floor, inside the doors, quarter panels, etc. Or else it will be nothing more than a cold breeze on your knees.

Having stated that, I used BCB AC kit, with the Explorer AC compressor. If I had to do it again, I would recommend the Sanden compressor they sell with their mounting adapter. Not all the hoses in the kit worked for me, I had a few made locally, returned the ones I didn't use. Dirt Donk now owns this Bronco, so hopefully he will chime in. My one negative is that it did not blow out the heat like the factory heater box did with the Ch*vy motor and squirrel cage.

I just posted that a Gen V is coming shortly. Unless you need it now, you might want to wait.

I hope this isn't too far off topic, but if you install the air conditioning kit can you make it compatible with the painless glove box and fuse panel?

Restomod Air Haymaker-S. modifications are required to make it fit.

It's been years since I did the research...
BC Broncos has a kit based on Vintage Air. But BC had there own ducts made that outflow the Vintage ducts..
Some insulation is needed. Not talking about putting R19 in. A factory headliner is enough for overhead. Carpet on the floor. And fix the door seals to keep the cool air inside. I've ridden in friend's cars that were projects. Dropping that cardboard headliner was all it took to change the A/C from works good on a hot day to can't keep up on a warm day.

Are you going to box that in? I just see a lot of dust and dirt thrown up from the tires getting into that.
