All:

Some of your may have seen my intro post on the chat board -- thought I would throw a post on here to let y'all see just how "green" I am!!

My new 73 has an Air Sensors EFI system on her -- model E-4A. I checked out their website, sent them an email and am planning to spend a day with my "friend/mechanic" next week to spend some time tuning her up.

She moved from 5200 feet down to 3900 feet which doesnt seem to be much of a difference to me, but what do I know?

So -- can anyone point me in the right direction for documentation on this EFI system? Anyone running this personally?

Thanks....

Emily.

Well, you can't be TOO green anymore, I'm thinkin'. What with 13 posts, by now you've had a good intro into the Bronco world. With an unusual twist at that. Hopefully, with this EFI setup, you'll be in that other Green category soon.
I haven't checked out your chats yet, and am, unfortunately, not familiar with Air Sensors in anything but name. And not much even at that.

Good luck though. Hopefully someone here knows more about it.
And you're right, in most instances, 1200 feet is not that big of a diff for EFI of any kind. Maybe it's just a highly specific system and just needs a simple tweak.
Hmm, if there are no obvious adjustments, have you tried disconnecting the battery for a minute and see if it tries to re-learn the proper tune after awhile?
We can hope it's that simple! Let us know what they say when they respond to your inquiry.

Ahhh the double meanings of green. Didn't intentionally disconnect the batteries, but the guy who sold it to me DID run them dead the day before I bought it.....good salesman :)

Ill let you know what the company says -- she doesnt run BAD, but she does run RICH and cuts out on me from time to time. Now that I understand the definition of "cold start", I think I might have a better chance at getting her to stay running this morning....we will see.

Wow! Air Sensors EFI - if it's the company I remember, I think they've been out of business for at least 15 years. I'll be curious to hear what you find out.

edit - quick google search turned up what I believe is a website with some info on their products. Looks like more reading for tonight....
