Well, last night some scum bag tried to steal my Bronco. He only got about 100 feet because I had just drained my fuel tank so I could drop it this weekend. At least he didn't get far. Thats the Good News. The Bad news is the bastards did get my Mustang. I have had that car for twelve years and have put about as many hours into it as I have my Bronco. I loved that car and some SOB steals it out of my driveway in the middle of the night. I went to get a rental car because insurance is paying for it and the guy at Enterprise Rental informs me that I was the sixth person today renting a car because mine was stolen last night

That really sucks I hope they get caught.
I almost pity the fool that steals one of my vehicles and I catch them. Mr blackhawk or Colt will be happy though.

That sucks on both cases. You at least got to salvage the Bronco.

This is too close for comfort. Were all of the losses a classic of some sort for the others.

A little description of your Stang on here may help in a chance of recovery.

I really don't wish harm on anybody, but I am afraid it would come pretty fast, if and when they were caught with my property, in the yard or on the street.

Good luck, and hide the Bronco, they may be back.

Texas law should rule in all states shoot em in the yard if they will come in your yard and steal your cars they will come in your house and rape and kill Good luck finding your car but expect the judicial system to do much to them

My parents and my brother have both had cars stolen in the last year. On my brother's case the thief was from Wisconsin and stole the car in Minnesota. The MN cops said it wasn't their issue because the kid lived in Wisconsin, and the WI cops said it wasn't their issue because the car was taken in Minnesota.

In my parents case, they found out who did it, because the guy loaded up their van with all kinds of body shop tools. They recovered the tools at his house, but not the van. After a lengthy investigation, the cops said too much time has passed and dropped the case.

Bottom line, is unfortunately I wouldn't expect too much to happen to the thieves that stole your stang, unless they catch them driving it. Hopefully they take auto theft a bit more seriously in your area.

There seems to be tons of this going around right now, especially in the Denver area. I know there have been quite a few wheeling rigs (mostly yota's or jeeps) take in the past 6 months. Glad to hear they didn't get the Bronco, and sorry for the Stang. Got any pics, I can keep an eye open in CO Springs.

That is second worst thing someone can steal form you other than your dog. Post some pictures of your mustang. Maybe the pollice can get some finger prints off the bronco. Although I wouldn't count on them doing to much to help.

I really feel for you brother. Not just for the loss of your baby, but also for the inevitable lack of societal concern. We all need to stop lining up behind the insurance company's mantra; "that's what insurance is for", and start demanding justice. Sorry if I sound a little bitter.

Man, I am really sorry to hear about that. You live in Ft. Collins or Greeley right? Give some details about the Stang. Also you might post this on colorado4x4.org. Maybe even Craigslist.org if you find a category. Sadly CO4x4 has a section for lost and stolen. I agree with Mike, there is a lot of that going around lately and it seems the cops aren't doing much.

Consider putting a hidden kill switch on all your vehicles. How upsetting, I am mad for you!

My neighbor got his car stolen when I was in denver. They found it a few days later across town. I hope you have the same luck.

Sorry to hear about this. Like others have said, post some pictures. I grew up in Colorado and still have many friends up there that I can send the pictures to so that they can watch for it. I can keep an eye out for it down here, as well.

x2 on this. Join the CO4x4.org board and post pics of it in the Lost & Found forum. That'll give you a lot of people, especially on the front range, looking for it.

some hope.....

Here's a story to give you hope....

About 5 years ago, my brother had his 65 Mustang stolen from in front of his house in LA. A few days later, he left work and just started driving....he was about 40 miles from his house and he found it in a junkyard (wheels and speakers were gone, but that's it)! That's amazing in any city, but in LA!

Good luck to you!

Stinkin' Rat Bastards!  I'd hate to think I would kill someone over a piece of property, but the guy who steals my EB better hope I never catch him! Sorry about the loss of the 'stang, man. That's gotta hurt.

Sorry to hear that.....seriously sorry.

For those of you tough guys out there, let me give you some sage advice.....

.....forget that bravado and put your energy into an electric fuel pump with a disconnect switch. That's a standard modification on all of my Bronco projects and it works beautifully.

By the way, for some of you newer guys on this board, I damn near went to jail for putting a beat down on some misguided youths one night several years ago. Trust me, nobody will sympathize with you in court......especially if you catch a woman judge.

Well Here is the mustang Update... Its still gone. The police did pretty much nothing. I called to see if they were doing anything, I no they don't do crap to find them but I figured if alot of cars were stolen maybe they would at least assign someone to "look into it". Just as I suspected they are doing nothing. Maybe if the person who stole it crashes it into a police car they will be able to find it.

Here are the details on the car. Its a 1989 Mustang GT All Red with Red Interior. I replaced the taillights with the LX lenses and got rid of the louvered lenses that it came with also it has 2002 Mustang "Bullit" wheels.

I'll pay to get photo posting privilages so I can get some photos up. After this post I'm gonna look for some didgital pics of the car. I'll have them posted soon.

So lay down and let someone rob you because you might catch a bad day in court? Nah..not my style. I certainly wasn't trying to come across as some "tough guy"..hell, I'm an old 45 yr old man, so those days are behind me...but I've lived my life by a certain set of principles, and I'll continue to do what I think it "right" - and smackin' someone around who is stealing your stuff sounds "right" to me. That's not bravado, that's justice.
