another explorer fan question

I tried searching for this question but wasn't finding anything. Are the 5.0 explorer fans and the 4 liter fans interchangeable?

Years ago I found the answer. Doing a 5.0 swap into a '90 4.0 Ranger I had both fans side by side. Diameter, mounting, depth, are all the same. except the fan to clutch pattern is different and the 4.0 has 1 less blade.

So as a whole, it will interchange.
But you can't put a 4.0 fan on a 5.0 clutch.
