Another "Whats it worth" 66 U13

Ran across this 66 U13 at a shop getting worked on. Owner wants to sell. I'm not a 66 or U13 expert so I'm looking at it just as an early Bronco. The Bronco has been swapped to a 302 w/ auto tranny. Not running yet - that's what the shop is doing. Also getting new wiring.
Has eyebrow grill, 66 tailgate.
PS is an odd setup.
Check the pictures and tell me what you think.

Power steering looks similar to how Stroppe did it but not exact.

With the bed liner all over it, cut fenders and v8 swap, I would think most of the roadster value is gone. I wouldn't pay anymore then I would for any other bronco in similar condition.

Thats the same set-up my dad use to put on his Bronco's back in the early 70's.
If I remember correctly it was a Chevy PS unit.

Radio delete dash, but is it the original dash? Has heater controls, but under the hood, no fresh air opening for air box (looks like heater delete). But is a 66 speedo? Still has single master cylinder. Sorry I'm no help on value, but do geek out on 66 stuff.

Seems like when I've seen the heater delete, it won't have the metal strap from the fire wall to the fender, this one does.

IMO, I think some people including myself get excited about early Budd body 66 u13 stuff no matter what. A sept 65 vin to me is cool and could always be brought back to stock unlike any other year you can buy. I remember seeing a super early u13 all chopped up at a Wildhorse event. The guy could have cared less about it being one of the earliest u13 I had ever seen. Still had some movement in my pants when I saw the VIN! I would say the incorrect things just help lower the price to get a cool piece of Early Bronco history! Remember the super rare hood and other 65 items it has that you won't have to search for if wanting to bring it back to stock someday! I know most don't agree, but I would add a couple $k to it just for the vin and having the correct tub, grille, dash, tailgate hood ect...over a comparable bronco.

Goodluck!

Rodger, if it's in as good of shape as it looks, I'd say $5000 easy if not more. Couldn't tell, but how are the door post? Underside been coated also? From the pictures doesn't seem to be hiding much. Maybe more like $10k based on today's prices.

Wait to buy it until after they get it running. When it runs hot the price will drop. After you buy it turn the fan around to the correct side to fix it.

Sounds like the guy has sunk too much in it for a decent price. I was thinking around $5-6K but was apparently not close. He didn't want to talk about it. He has my number. Unfortunately the longer they work on it the more messed up it gets.
