I do believe it's time someone, not metioning any names because there are a few that I've heard of, that need to get there own. Stuff like this happens all over, not just the net. Some conman gets away with it and nothing happens. Sounds to me like we need someone, who know's someone, who know's some one that these criminals need to meet. Say a broken leg or arm and that ought to make them think a little harder about screwing people over.

Some times people use another people's name. There was a doctor's office using a Dr.'s name but I never once met him. I found out that many different clinics were using the name but as far as I know the person does not exist. If Rick has more than one website and it is on different topics it makes me think that there are many people involved. So you may be searching for someone who does not exist. JMO

Oh he exists all right, in the singular, and was a well-known poster on CB (username: Saddleup) long before he decided to try his hand at the trail cover business, first, and complete tops after that. I was one of those who participated in the very first mass buy and got two trail covers right away. Things deteriorated sometime after that but his trail is pretty cleaar and not hard to follow..he graduated from EB trail covers to EB tops, then to trail covers and tops for other makes...set up and expanded a dedicated website for that business, etc.

Has anyone talked to this guy before? He's got to know that many people are after him. I feel bad for him if he ever gets caught.

I knew him pretty well or so I thought. He WAS a very involved member of the NW wheeling group. Was in charge of trail runs and helped a lot of people out over the years both on the board and in the community.

It's scary to know that someone could turn on their own like that! Money really is the root of all evil.

Sound more like he got into meth:p

There is a guy around Boulder that was a pretty decent mechanic, fabricator, welder, etc. He started a jeep business and got messed up on coke. Started screwing people over and not paying his bills. I found out about it when I started getting calls from people he had pissed off and bill collectors. We share the same name. First and last. Had a reprieve for about 5 years while he did time for stealing social security checks out of mail boxes. Lately he was asked if my birthday was the correct one when he checked in at the emergency room. I got the bill.

Sounds like Rick might be of the same mold.
