Probably not what your looking for but mine was once upon a time painted rattle can black. The picture below was from about a year ago and a lot has changed since then.

as with any vehicle, Black is the hardest to keep clean....but when they are, they sure do look good.

Black shows every dent and ding and they soak up heat during the summer. (Especially in areas like Wilmington) That's why you don't see very many dark colored vehicles down there. You can get a pretty bad burn down there if you lean up against a dark colored vehicle that has been in the sun half of the day.

I have had two black trucks now and like jeepster said hardest to keep clean and when they are they look good.... But I have found that it is not worth the effort because there are so many other colors that look great and don't need to be washed all the time just to look decent.

Like what was said before. They are a pain in the arse to keep clean. When they are clean though the are killer but that will only be on the day you clean them. ANY dust ding scratch imperfection and anything else sticks out like a sore thumb on black for some reason. That's just what I notice on my truck.

Here are a couple more pics - I know they're harder to keep clean but man the chrome trim and aluminum rims look really nice when she's shined up.

The second pic is mine...pretty much how it looked when i bought it about a year ago. but in this case the truck is extremely easy to keep clean...the po painted the entire thing in imron, and i have continued to use it. the paint is extremely resillient to scratching, easy to blend with no clear, resistant to chemicals, gas and fading, and doesnt ever need wax...it just always looks good, but i found it a little harder to work with than some other paints.

Believe me, it's not as nice as the picture looks. It a 25' paint job. Everything looks good until you get closer than 25'.

I had it painted about a year ago at Maaco for less than $400. They did everything but the dash.
