Haven't heard of them, but don't do it! Don't let him be the guinea pig. Wait around here on a good one to pop up. Or buy one of the 3 in the for sale section from JGO if he is itching to buy now.

$50-$70k I'd want a coyote engine. I agree with this^^^^ much nicer Broncos more reasonable pricing.

Need help looking for $50-70K bronco for friend

Where would one suggest they go to spend that kind of money with a coyote engine, hydro boost, disk brakes...etc.

I heard of Urban Gears a little over a year ago when I was compiling a list of over 20 pro Bronco builders when I was putting together an Invitational feature for the Bronco 50th Anniversary at the Carlisle Ford Nationals last year.

I have not seen their work and don't know much about them other than that they've been around at least a year. I did not invite them because they were too new and unknown to me at the time to promote through such a featured event with 60K+ attendees. (The last thing I wanted was an unknown showing up with piss poor quality to be part of the feature display).

Don't expect a Coyote in the $50-70K range on a fresh frame off build. That is unreasonable unless corners are cut elsewhere. It's simple math of time and materials and putting a $20K+ engine swap into the equation does not add up.

looks like the bronco in their gallery has bedlinner on the dash and rear bumper. From the pics its not a very good job. And $80K for the one they have for sale is way too high and doesn't even come with A/C.

Seems like they just have one Bronco under their belt. I might be wrong, but my opinion is merely based on their website and lack of other Broncos on there.

Like anything...buyer, beware!

They are somewhat local to me and I have stopped in a few times to check out their work. It has been over a year since I've been in, but I never saw anything that would turn me away from purchasing.

They bought a Bronco from a buddy of mine and that was the first I heard of them. I ended up purchasing a hard top from them a few years ago.
