Aod Tv Pressure @80?

The aod is out of a 91 mustang, lokar tv cable, oil presure gauge in tv test port. At idle pressure is 80psi. Any sugestions?

Way high. Idle is not how you want to test it but that is high.
Does it shift hard/firm?
Needs to be around 40psi with a gauge block holding the cable open at the tb. It's a .270" block if I remember right.

I have only driven down the block and back and it never shifted. i don't want to drive until i have the tv dialed in

Do a search on this. There is one that I know of that has some good info in it.
You are so right to make sure you tv psi is right before you drive it. The good thing is that to high is way better than low psi.
