Yes. so dumb - I was torqueing it down and didn't realize one of the bolts I had dangling in it wasn't seated it it's hole. I'm beyond pissed at myself. Thoughts on a repair? JB Weld, Alumaweld brazing rod?

Weld it and have it belt sanded flat.

That bites!

I'd prefer to find a local fab shop and have it TIGed. Probably cost you $50-100.

I did the same thing, only mine was tightening over a spacer. I found it was easier and cheaper just to source a new upper.

I did that over 24 years ago to an Explorer upper. Got it welded up and drove it. Was still fine when I pulled that engine a couple of years back.

I ended up sourcing another from eBay for $160 shipped in good shape like @stretch did.
