See below. That cable is the winters shifter - not ideal either

The easy solution would appear to be to clearance the cross member, or you could fabricate a new one from scratch.

I went under the crossmember with the winters cable, slightly notching the crossmember. Can you clock the atlas up and miss the crossmember?

Here's mine. Cable shifters for the Atlas, though.

Maybe you see something in one of the pics that helps.

How is your Atlas clocked? Got a pic from this view?

Clocking it more will probably help you with your shifter clearance. I played with mine a bit before final clocking.

Yup, you need to clock it up higher. You'll use the third highest position (out of the four), that'll have your Atlas case about a 1/4" from the frame.

For the Winters shifter, you have to notch the bottom of the crossmember. you also have to raise the cable mount on the bracket. Check out WH's install info.
I just add material to the bracket, and locate the cable at a nice gentle angle.

As gerberz said, mine's as close to the frame as I could get without cutting it.

Thank yall. I swore I had it as high as it would go and all the holes lined up in the clocking ring but I guess not.

Maybe you can clock her up one more hole...

Lol

And when you change it, make sure to use sealer (RTV?) on the screw threads. I didn't and I'm leaking.

Lol here's to hoping cause it'd sure make things easier.

Loosen up the engine mounts if they're already tight, as that should give you a little more wiggle room with the ATLAS and allow you to clock it up one more position. You may then run into the radius arm mounts, but you could countersink the brackets and run flat heads from the inside, or just weld them onto the frame to potentially get away from the fastener interference issues with the t-case.

Thanks - yeah I've left everything loose anticipating just this.

Going to try clocking it in an hour or two - hopefully goes well

Had to clock it higher by forcing it up into the long arm hardware and moving it over a smidge. Once I did and bolted the clocking ring back, it settle within an 8th of the nut so I ground the nut a little and shimmed the crossmember.
