Hello all -
Here's the quick question: can I paint overtop of powdercoat? Any special prep work needed or just scuff and shoot?
Long story short: I just had my wheels blasted, cleaned, prepped and 2 coats of powder coat. Gave them the Wimbledon White PC color found on here. They couldn't find anyone to sell them less than 55# of the PPG powder, they called Tagger and got an equivalent code RAL9010 they were told would match. They did an awesome job with the PC work, however, the color is not correct. So I now need to have them painted.
The PC guy said that they can be painted over, no problems. Looking for the advice of some painters though.
Thanks!
