I have a B&M (star) floor shifter i believe. its been 6 years since I first installed it. well when first installed i couldn't get the reverse light switch to work. so for the intrest of saving time I skipped it and went on to other things on vehicle but never made it back until yesterday and I tried for hours trying to get this damn thing to work. any ideas or experience with this particular shifter? I'm even open to suggestions for other Floor shifters that bolt right on and use existing starter nuetral switch! or even something else thats is better. I'm at my wits end with this f..king thing! and why don't they make these aftermarket shifters use existing starter nuetral switches? whats up with that?

They don't use the factory switch because most aftermarket shifters require a short shift lever with a different angle. The common practice is to cut the factory shift lever off and use a bolt on lever where the NSS used to go.
