Hey all,

Just a quick howdy from Colorado! I was all over this site back in early 2000’s, had a ‘68 then and a ’73, sold them for a major career change.
Bunch a years pasted and I’m back in the saddle. Recently picked up a ‘74 nice one and my favorite problem child, a ‘68 named Frank (for Frankenstein)
’68 frame and some of the body, 71 engine, etc. Been wrenching on Frank for 6 month, have endlessly searched this site solving 100’s of issues.

This site is hands down the best (only) good source for EB info. Thanks to all the past contributors and present problem solvers making my world easier.

This is Frank…so far

The stance looks great. It looks like you've already done a bunch of work to it. And yes, you're right, this site is a priceless resource.

Did you have a CB account before and if so, was there a reason you created a new account rather than resuming your old one?

Thanks! Installed a 1” body lift, has a chevy HEI that had plug wires rubbing on underside of the hood. Then the 2.5” lift because..you know.

Old CB user name was my old company name, many moons have passed. The Avis360 is my go to user name for pretty much all forums, etc.

This is the ‘74 that I picked up. Practically stole it from PO. Came with thousands of dollars in extra parts, like 2 of everything. Seats, bolt kits, complete door kits, etc. The reason buying Frank (great deal on it too) was something the put all the parts on.

the ‘74 has new 302HO, EFI, vin air, all new everything. PO was building it for his 16 year old daughter and she didn’t like it 🤣

What is this DIY shine juice 🧃 of which you speak?

Randy
1 part mineral spirits, 4 parts “boiled” linseed oil. Wipe it on, let dry overnight. Important to throughly rinse rags in dawn liquid and water, let dry, dispose.
The more mineral spirits the more satin/matte finish. Bunch of YouTube vids on it. Also heard it’s not great to park in direct sun for long periods of time with the oil on the paint, but my paint is already gone. Just like I like it 😁
