Hey guys,

So a year ago or so i sold my bronco and all the parts i had with it. Didn't think i was going to own another one but the bronco gods were on my side. I just picked up a nice 1970 uncut bronco. Since this is a bronco forum and thought i would ask a question. Anyone is TX owned a blue bronco and took out the original motor and replaced it with with a ford 1980 300 Inline 6? The previous owner got it that way. If so what car/truck did it came out of. I know this is a shot in the dark but again i never thought i would be a bronco owner and well here i am. I can tell you the truck was registered in Round Rock, TX.

Thanks

Welcome to the best site on the net.

I think Pa Pitt did a 300 in an eb. He's a Texan.

Look up Pa Pitt here on CB.

And again, welcome!

Thought about Rev.

Lives in Kissimmee but was working in the Panhandle last time I checked.

Are you in Texas as well? You may want to join the LEBC Google Groups mailing list and ask the question there. Here's how to join the list: LEBC Mailing List

The 300 is a great engine! A little tight in an EB but a good engine.

Thanks, Yes i am in San Antonio, TX and i've been part of the LEBC group for awhile. I posted a photo out there and no one has come back and claim it was there EB in the past. I just wanted to get some info on the car/truck it came out to see if i can get some power steering in it.

Thanks again.

Not bad looking congrats!

Are you sure it's a 300 and not a 200? Post a picture up if you can of the engine. I can see about uploading it here if you want to post it to the LEBC group.

well i took the code from the enigne block and its a d8be 6015 ge which turns out to be a 1978 ford fairmount 200 motor. When i did a search on the motor code i found a old link here back in 2007 about the same code. So today i ordered my carb and well go from there. Thanks to all for your help.
