So I am never satisfied. I have had four 6G broncos since they came out. I ordered a Badlands that took forever to get so I purchased a four door Black diamond early in 22 for my wife, I put a 2" lift on it and a set of stock Wildtrack wheels and tires, and she loves it and still dives it today . Then my badlands came in Aug of 22 and I drove it for 3-4 months but said "I dont need two four door broncos" so I came across a nice optioned two door Black diamond and I bought that. But after over a year of driving it I realized that having two more doors was nice and I could use the room So last fall I found a four door badlands SAS that had just about everything I wanted and got that. I love the bronco but kind of wanted a hard top and wouldn't mind a little more plush feel and to be honest I always wanted something that was a Raptor didn't mater if it was a F150, Ranger or Bronco.

Have any of you guys gone from a standard 6G bronco to a Raptor Bronco? Andy real big difference in handling and power? Three of the four broncos I have had were the 6cyl and that is all I would get after owning one. (funny my wifes is the 4cyl and we have had it the longest)I know they are a lot wider so are they a PIA to park? Any down sides you have come across?

They are giving huge discounts on left over 2024 Raptors right now around 15-18K off. And there is a sweet looking Velocity Blue one that the dealer nearest me has. I know I will take a beating trading in my 24 Badlands as used values have dropped a lot. But you only live once! Any feed back would be great.

I would jump on a Raptor except that Ford made it too wide for some of the trails I run in Colorado.

I think you’re on record pace for having owned the most Gen6’s by anyone!!

LOL I know I got wrapped up in them for sure! never planned it. When I ordered my first Badlands back in early 2021 I ordered it the way I wanted it and expected to have it a long time. But shit happened and here I am four years later having had four different broncos.

I agree they are on the wide side. I probably wont do anything as the pricing is still stupid. When I got the Badlands I have now I wanted to try and find a Wildtrack for the Hoss suspension but I couldn't find anything but black or gray and I didnt want either color. I love the Hot Pepper Red Metallic my truck is now and if one on my local dealers had a Raptor that color I would probably bite on it. I guess I am never satisfied!

The Raptor is amazing.
Down sides:
  • We average 15.9MPG with premium fuel, the ProCal tune, and a K&N filter. You don't need to run premium unless you run the ProCal.
  • The wheels are as wide as my super duty truck. It is not a huge deal but the wheels toss mud all over the sides even with the huge flairs. I had to have my front doors PPF covered to save the lower door from rock chips.
  • It weighs 5800 pounds
  • Cost
The upside:
  • Many people have no idea it's a Bronco because it just says Ford and Raptor all over it.
  • You cant stay out of the gas pedal because it is so much fun
  • The suspension is amazing
  • Raptor mode is amazing
  • 4500 pound towing capacity (1000 more than other Broncos)
  • 37s
  • Everything is different from the other Broncos. Stronger frame, suspension, axels are stronger front and rear, unique body panels, interior, wheel bolt pattern and on and on

Thanks for the info!
I was also looking at ordering a new Mustang exactly the way I want it, it would have been 15-20 thousand less than a Raptor, but I am more of a truck guy and feel i would get myself in trouble with a car that fast.

The local dealer sold the blue Raptor they had and are down to just a Dark Green one. They are offering $18,000 off sticker. Good price but still crazy expensive. I also considered lifting my Badlands and putting different wheels and tires on it.

For now I will keep the Badlands but I am always looking for the next better ride!

15.9? You need to take your foot outta it. I am pushing 18mph with the tune kit.
I would have bought something other than a Raptor with a window sticker saying 15 to 16 MPG if I was after gas mileage.

My wife primarily drives it. We have conducted a few experiments and got 17 MPG on a trip once.

My only other performance mods are the Procal is a K&N running 93 octane in every tank of gas.

LOL My wife only gets about 16mpg out of her 4cyl Black Diamond! I only get about 17 out of my 2.7 Badlands. I got a little better than 18 on a long trip when I was staying under 70mph. I really dont know how people are getting much better than that with any bronco! I didnt buy a Bronco for the MPG for sure!

Crazy my Super Duty gets 19MPG all the time on long trips and I drive way more than 70. Now around town is 16 at best.

Differences in MPG I know can be attributed to the way folks drive, my wife gets about 2 MPG less than I do on her OB Bronco and my F-150 (3.5 Eco).
But this past February we stayed in North Naples, FL. for the month and I couldn't believe how bad of milage I got. Normally I get around 20 mpg on the F-150 around Sussex County DE, down in Naples the best I could get was 15-16 mpg while I was there. Back home, back to 20 mpg.

Well in southwest Florida there are a hell of a lot of stop lights! I havent driven around Naples much but if its anything like Fort Meyers, Cape Coral or Punta Gorda the lights will drive you crazy! The only place worse is Tampa!! I haven't driven any of our broncos in Southwest Florida but have driven my Super Duty and our old Expedition a lot! I will be driving my Superduty down there again in two weeks.

I know my bronco really drops in MPG when I drive it around town or in DC or Baltimore because of all the stop and go. But I am sure my MPG would be a lot better if I didnt drive it like I stole it!

I just saw one of my Local Ford dealers has a 2024 Hot Pepper Red Metallic Bronco Raptor on the lot with $22K off the sticker price!! The sticker was over $104,000 Now listed at $82,000!

Only issue I have with it is it doesn't have the painted flares. The black plastic flares are bit much, I really prefer the ones that are painted.

Ugh it is very hard to resist at these discounts! 🤔

I'd say given the current economic debacle, if you have your heart set on any new car right now, you might want to snap it up quick at any discounted price.
