Well, last year was so much fun, we've decided to do it again!

I just got back from the Arizona testing a Bronco I'm driving this year for the NORRA 1000. ToddZ and I will be driving this Bronco, another old Stroppe unit, in the 1000+ mile event from Mexicali to Cabo. This year we're teamed up with Kaysinger Racing who owns the Bronco. I stripped it down to the frame and built it back up with a warmed over small block, rebuilt C4 (with Stroppe adapter of course!), and sent out both original Stroppe-trussed axles to be stuffed with new gears and bearings. The cage and suspension were also brought up to speed, but are still old school to high degree, as you can see. After all, it's a Vintage rally.

With only 3 weeks before we head across the border, it's down to the wire. The Bronco is now being painted now, and we're working on final logistics of support crew and final tweaks to the build.

More pics coming soon!

Glad to see it's up and running when I saw it at Randy's in late March I was wondering if it would be ready in time.

Here's hoping your night driving is limited to looking for restaurants. Good luck and safe travels.

Good luck and have fun. I've met up with Todd Z and the "original racer". That thing has a mean engine. I'm sure this one will be a great runner too.

Thanks guys, Yes, this truck has taken a little while to complete, but the end is near thankfully.

Motor is a stroked 5.0, with 331 cubes and same induction as our '69 Winner Bronco. It felt pretty good the other day, but I'm still going to map and tune the advance curve and maybe jet up a size.
