Ball & Socket header connection

Is a ball & socket type header connection pretty bulletproof or is it prone to leaks? I noticed there is no gasket involved like on a flat flange connection.

Pretty much bulletproof...very good design although more costly to manufacture.

Mine never leak on the JBA headers.

Nice and bullet proof, unless you actually shoot it with a bullet or crush it on a rock. But much better then the flanged exhaust leaks.

That's what I figured as they seem to draw in pretty tight.
