OK it officially has gotten crazy. I know there are a lot of high dollar sales but this one just screams crazy. The same one sold two years earlier for 37k and now it sells for 89k? I am really puzzled and this has to be a bubble waiting to burst. Who buys a floor shift 3 speed for 89k? Yes, it is very nice I don't argue with that. Even the orig builder seems surprised at the sale. If you wonder why the paint shops are backed up, I think everyone is fixing to flip.

Holy chit batman! I would refer to it as good from a far, but far from a good!!! Like this one, I don’t have much ‘66 left in mine either, but fetching scratch like this makes me re-think it’s destiny! On a side note, that DS tailgate gap is atrocious, and the pop-riveted on hood scoop (which appears to not even have the edges painted) is real “classy” too%)

Yes you could pick it apart all day long for that money. The reality is that is was a nice build and I think he got a fair price for it after he sold it the first time so I am not bashing the build, just the price for that is mind boggling today.

I always tell people I have a number, but it sure does seem like that number continues to climb!

100% agree! Poor choice of words on my part, because I really didn’t intend to bash the build at all, I just can’t compute the $$$ that it commanded. It’s really mind boggling

It's definitely bonkers on BaT right now - I can't fathom some of these prices. Two big examples being the one that Nick referenced in his original post and the one that 56f100bbw showed us was also crazy - $162K for a truck with a 3" body lift and a universal top radiator hose.

I was telling my daughter the other day that vehicles aren't really investments, going to have to rethink that one now:)

Gotta admit it beats the stock market..

They put the BAT in BATsh!t crazy prices. I suppose it doesn’t hurt anyone who already owns one, but can’t help worrying prices for early Bronco-specific parts are going to continue to go up. Even after this current post-covid spike.

I'm personally happy to see these people doing well on BAT. They saw a niche and are making the most of it. I think it is a bubble, as with the housing market. So please, let's don't bash these people. That makes us on this site look small and clicky.

The market speaks for itself. People have a lot more money than we home boys that build our own Broncos. There are MANY people with a lot of spendable money. (more than me and most of us Bronco builders) Also, just face it, Early Broncos are cool. The new Broncos looks like every other small SUV. Plus, there are only a few Early Broncos left. Supply and demand plus being cool drives most markets.

I'm not to surprised at the crazy prices, I've seen this happen with the mustang, and the bubble popped and prices went down. I'm more worried about prices going up on parts to restore and up keep on are Broncos getting out of hand !!!!!
