I was surprised they allowed such a high reserve on that Coyote-powered '74. However, it's from a BAT power seller and they seem to give them more latitude with reserves.

Cannun, Didn't realize that one was yours. That is a nice bronco.

The numbers do seem to be going downwards but what people expect for them is still up there. I will say, after seeing prices 1 year ago it'd be hard to let one go cheap.

I was pretty surprised that the Sea Pine bronco listed did not get bid on any more than it did.

Thank you. I lowered my reserve a bit right near the end. I needed to cull my herd and I had the least attachment to the one I sold. It is an absolute awesome Bronco. The new owner is having it picked up soon and transported to San Fran (in an enclosed trailer).

Well, the trends are getting more consistent now about downward pricing. Nice ones are still doing OK but average ones are taking a hit. Correction is not a bad thing though. It will definitely slow down the aftermarket parts sellers. I have noticed that the body builders seemed to have slowed way down or stopped building so many.

I was looking through an old photo album a few evenings ago looking for another photo and came across a photo of the one you just sold at a show in either '96 or '01.

I love it. I think your post on BaT lent alot of credibility to that sale. It's hard to convey how special that Bronco really is. You definitely imparted some of that. I really appreciate it.

BaT is a real-time, representative marketplace.

Sales that don't meet the reserve price reflect that but negatively impact future buyers' interest in bidding and the BaT marketplace overall. The sellers are only out ~$300 with hail-mary reserve price auction. BaT needs to do a better job of managing reserve prices and maybe even a seller tax on vehicles that don't sell.

The last 12 early Broncos are "Bid To . . ." reserve not met auctions. Somethings not right!

I would think that BAT will see this soon enough and adjust their reserves. Yes the market is slowing but half of these probably are about what they are worth and should have sold.

Lose the steps, the graphics and paint the engine bat. That would have gone a long way

I agree with all the above. If your building it for yourself, all great choices but to sell, much less so. I thought a good reserve price for this one would have been $60K. I think the issue was he sold a similar Bronco with 3 on the tree a year or two ago for $83K and the market has just changed that much.

I'll be happy when a $100,000 Bronco is worth $25,000 again... maybe parts prices, insurance and theft rates will drop with the sale price???!!! We can hope anyway. :)

For those that are flipping and trying to make a fortune they can flip the next popular classic and leave our Broncos alone! lol

Getting hard to find people willing to drive their cash cows around anymore.

On the other hand, I am surprised that '72 went to 68k given that there is a general sense of a good project not quit finished. The paint is oddly imperfect in some of the images given that it appears to be an off-the-frame build. That big chip above the drivers door handle and the rough paint back by the tailgate is kind of strange. It's remarkable that this bid to 68k in my opinion. So it seems to me that the market is still going strong.

They are still out there!. While the average market has really cooled down, there are still some impressive sales happening. This one was a nice restoration but nothing over the top that usually commands the six figures in todays market. I think the frenzy has stopped but there are still some buyers looking for the right ones.

I think this one was way overbid. Very nice, but not $109K nice. Combining Ranger seats with Sport interior panels didn't do it for me.

I tend to agree. An outlier for sure. The seller was really working hard in that comment thread so maybe that helped too.
