Battery Relocation to Cowl

Hey I know a few have cut the air box location down and put the battery or pair in there but I am having trouble finding the pics and info, if you know where they are at or have them please post.

That is a sweet idea. I like it better then the passenger seat location as you can still get to them easily...

I would assume you could trim up and reseal the air box over there?
It is a real handy place to put the battery, especially if you are using a tube front clip. Have a buddy looking to do this and needed some pics as I knew a few had done so.

nice work but that one with vette motor in it needs to be fixed.

Jeep TJs have the battery in the cowl. Access is pretty tough there. I've had to work one and wouldn't move the battery there. What's wrong with where it is?

well for one thing it'd be easier to get to the alternator adjuster bolt if the battery wasn't there.

and when you jump the thing the weight of the battery doesnt break the pass. front body mount. lol

hah! i know about that one real well. except i wasn't jumping, i was doing 53 mph down the beach...
