Does Chuck's header fit ok with the AOD trans? Also what is the big deal with the "slip on" versus the "bell" connector? Is one better than the other or easier to use? Thanks, BI

Not sure...
I do know that the WH shorty headers are a very tight fit and require some trimming to the housing of the trans.

they will fit, but you'll have to grind the square knot off the passenger side of the bellhousing. we also had problems getting the stock dipstick tube to fit, so you'll want to get a lokar or something. i prefer the flange connector, not the slip fit.

Get the flange style instead of the slip fit. I have yet to get my slip fit version to seal correctly. Probably will replace with WH shorties.

I guess I missed this post before. The slip flange will seal without problems if the first pipe is a tight fit on the header and if 4 1" cuts are made in the header end of the first pipe. Muffler shops don't like to install the first pipe like this I guess because they don't understand. In the old days all exhaust was installed this way. Now mig makes it too easy to just weld the connections but it sucks if you want to remove the exhaust. If your having a problem with my headers not sealing please give me a call. I need to know these things.
