Ok so theres some ancient bed linner in the back of my bronco. It was all tore up when I bought the thing. I've been scraping most of it out and am almost done. But is there a better way?

Wire wheel it with a grinder. I went through about 3 wheels to get all of mine off. It worked great just make sure you wear a mask or you will be blowing black boogers for weeks.

I took a small torch with MAPP gas. I had to burn mine till it bubbled up..then scrape it with putty knife. It worked pretty good

That's what I was thinking you'd have to do. Seems like a long weekend and messy to boot.

alright I'll try the torch idea tomorrow. I've gotten most of it off already by scraping it off. But this sounds like it would save a lot of time.

I have used a heat gun and scraper to get bedliners up alot....but thats also recently done,(within the last 6 years), bedliner and it is still a hassle. I assume that you are either painting or recoating it with bedliner...? If so then just go to town on it, wire wheel, 40 grit sandpaper on a DA works, anything aggressive will take that off and as long as you are priming it you will be ok as a finished product. have fun
