I really should have paid better attention to where everything came from. I'm putting the bell housing on and have several 7/16" bolts with 5/8" heads. They are of varying lengths and I'm unable to find any posting that says which goes where. They are as follows:

Two bolts are 2 1/2" long
Two bolts are 1 3/4" long
Four are 1 1/2" long

I also have two smaller stragglers, that I think are for the starter. Can anyone elaborate on which goes where? Please?

Again, to everyone reading this, I apologize. I never attempted anything like this before and although I've been on this site for years, I'm a newbie to this kind of work. Thanks for understanding and for your help.

Chuck

Anyone? I've done search after search and haven't come up with the answer. I scoured my Haynes and Chilton's manuals and can't find it there either.

Pretty much look at the bellhousing and see which one sticks out the farthest. I think the shorter ones go on the top of the bellhousing, then the next longet go to the next hole down and the longest on the bottom bellhousing holes. There should also be some 5/16" short bolts to hold the bellhousing to the block plate. Then some 3/8" short bolts for the starter.
