Thoughts on what is best prior to installing full carpet for sound/heat insulation? Looking at Lizard Skin but can get Line X for not much more than if I do both heat & sound Lizard Skin coat. Or just go with a heavier pad on the carpet?

Line-X won't block heat or noise like Lizard Skin or Al's HNR will.
It would be better as a wear protection for them than a substitute.

Having done the Raptor X like product, and its pretty thick, If I had to do it again I'd do just paint, then heat block pad such as dynapad mat, carpet.

I have more questions than answers.
Lizard skin is paint with ceramic beads. You can buy the beads much cheaper and mix with paint. I think 2 lbs of beads was $30?? That should do your insides including top. Not a big deal to mix your own. Huge savings and more color options and you get to pick the brand of paint . The vendors selling beads will give you the ratios and all the information you will need. The cost savings will pay you a decent wage for mixing it up. No down side

So I assume you could add the ceramic beads to any bed liner as well correct?
does it have any effect on adhesion or thin out the liner - increase tearing or chipping etc?
Thanks
