?:?

Just go'n over things on the rig and notice the posts are hashed and the rest of the cables are not at their best either... and to Ice the cake, my battery holds a charge for about 10 sec.

I know Optimas are nothing special anymore plus they cost as much as a baby on the blk mkt!!! Should I replace the starter cylenoid at the same time?

Last but not least, who'd have the best price for the best gear? Summit? Or even J C Whitey?

;D Thx for your opinions! They are indeed appreciated!

at least 1/2 the crap in JC whitney is just that...crap.
I like makin my own cables. buy a roll of 10ga cable, and get some good copper lugs...cut to length ya want, crimp on the ends and seal with heat shrink. probably even costs less than pre made stuff.
as far as battery brands, DieHard(sears) batteries have always served me pretty well. right now, I'm using one from Car Quest, and it's doin good so far.

10 ga.?
(edit for stupidity)
I used 4 ga.

I agree otherwise. I made my own from alt. to batt., ground, starter cables...everything. Most autoparts stores will have a hammer crimper that is pretty cheap and definately use the heat shrink to make purdy

Dang, I just got new cables last night and all of them total were less than $10. Seems like a trip to the store was way easier than making them. Maybe I'm just lazy.

I second the Deka Intimidator. I also run 2 of them. But I use cables I picked up from O'Reillys. They have worked pretty good for me..

Making them vs buying them boils down to if you need custom or not. The time just is not worth it unless you are going for the super clean look or need something not in stock at the store.
