Big 4" Duff flexiglass fender flares( Do you want them available again?) Read post #1

I would like to take a moment to see what kind of interest there is in the old style Duff 4" flares. I would like to start having them reproduced in fiberglass and or urethane. How many guys would be up for purchasing a set. Keep in mind that these are for BIG tires and FULL width axles not 12.50's on 8" wheels. What would you guys interested be expecting to pay? Obviously anything like this takes some upfront money to get off the ground and I just want to see if that money and time could be regained and how quickly. So I am asking, Will you buy them? What material would you want them made out of, fiberglass or urathane? and how much would you expect to pay?

I would def be interested in a set! Ive been looking around for a used set (but still in like new shape) with no luck. I think if they were maybe $60-$100 more then a set of normal urethene flares would be a good asking price, jmo. I have know idea what the original duffs went for.

I just wish someone would make a flare that would run up to the body line and still match the rear fender just behind the rear wheel.

Did you try to speak with Duffs about why they discontinued these? Most likely due to lack of interest (although I have nothing to base that on).

I'd also think that if you did start repopping these that Duffs could begin making these again. i.e. you start the demand and then they come in with the supply - price war ensues and your profits erode.

That said - price should be proportionate to the 4" silverbacks which are $379 for a set of 4.

Would they work with 35x12.50x15 with a 2" BL and 3&1/2" SL?
I think $350.00 would be a good starting point.

They will work with the smaller tires but may not look that good. To much flare and not enough tire.

I would be interested in a set if they are oversized like we are kicking around now. As long as they are not to pricey. Maybe like Heus33 suggested.

To tell ya the truth I was thinking in the 380-400 range, but need to know what the general pop will want to buy for. So far I got a request to cut higher and I'm game for that myself. Who else?

urethene and made to fit up to the body line, sounds great! And these will resemble the ones in the pic on first post?

I've alwase wanted a set so I could get a big set of tires under a EB the wider the better. I want to put full width under one of mine with 44" tires. For the price $400 sounds like a fair price. I'll probably buy a set if you make them!

Hey stupidboy, is that the same Duff's old flare that is on the "Crazy Horse"??
There's been a ton of folks wanting those, I believe they're urethane, with a textured finish??
