Yea, thats the ones, but I want to change the way they are mounted to a hidden system. I thought there would be mor interest.

I think you would see more interest if WH didnt sell the SilverBack Flares. I think those are targeted to broncos who need more coverage.

OK, these are urethane and I believe they are a 2 part install, I'll have to re-check. It seems like there is a mounting strip and the flare mounts to that.
That was probably their downfall??%)%)

I agree on the two piece design being the downfall. But they look cool!

I have a brand new set of each and yes, they were a two piece design and they were available in urathane and fiberglass.

Bump to the top so that everyone sees if interested. Come on you know you want the kind on Crazy Horse but maybe cut higher.

I already have a set too, they are 2 piece and are single layer fiberglass. I was thinking that I would change the mounting so its invisible and make them available again. I believe that this lack of interest might be why duff discontinued them.

>>> duff's was supposed to come out with a new version of the 4" flares a few years ago ,but it never happened...kinda remember the reason was a lack of getting a good reliable supplier rather than lack of interest from potential buyers... http://www.jamesduff.com/rnd.html ...... >>> " 4" Trail Flares in Duff's Space Age Material

With trails getting harder and tires getting bigger, it was time to advance Duff's popular 4" flexi-glass flare to be able to handle the use of today's hardcore wheeler or urban driving abuse. Based on the same two-piece design as the original Trail Flex flare, we have built prototypes out of the same space-age poly that is used in Duff's top selling UFO flares. The smooth outer finish with no visible mounting screws makes for a great look. They are ideal for a daily driver or wide tires and can be easily painted.

Look for the 4" Trail Flares to be released January 2008. "

I don't think I'll have a supply issue, but so far I have 18 votes for urathane and 2 for fiberglass but only 1 potential buyer. so with only 1 buyer besides myself, I may just have myself the only set on the planet, but it will be at a great cost to me,lol. January 2008 is long gone, and they still aren't out, the same as the Dynacorn body, I'm the kinda guy that wants to make stuff happen now, not 5-10 years from now.

If you do decide to make one set just for yourself let me know? i imagine it would be crazy expensive to make just the protoype. So to make a second set and split the costs might help. Thx!

There were 2 versions. The one on Crazy Horse, a textured Urethane and the Flexible Fiberglass that you have. Both used the hidden flange mounting system. On the Fiberglass, the glue would hold just fine. The urethane was a little more temperamental and sometimes necessitated screwing them to the flange. Both were very labor intensive productions. The urethane had a great deal of overspray, running the cost up even more. The last time we had them, the price was in the $450-550 range and quite honestly, petroleum costs have gone up a great deal since 2008, I can only imagine what costs could run now. It was hard to justify working on these for such a small market. AND Yes, everyone, I am in the loop on this one.

so far there has been 24 votes on the poll, does that mean that you 24 guys are going to buy a set?

1. Cut as far up to the body line and still have something to attach to
2. Urethane
3. Not too pricey
4. Yes
