Are the Bilstein shocks supposed to be mounted in what I call upside down, with the reservoir end pointing up. I see them mounted like that in pictures but the directions that came with mine say nothing about the correct way to install them.
I've called Bilstein ,,and there response is there shocks are to be mounted with the sticker/label correctly oriented right side up .. so after thousands of installs on just about every vehicle makes ,sometimes this leads to the shock orientation different then the oe configuration,,,,
Not sure if it actually matters but Bilstein says mount em with the "lettering " in the correct upright position - but that could just be so it's easier to read their logo/advertising - LOL

For those that saw it before I deleted it I offer my sincere apology for the rant about the installation on the Bilstein shocks. I got them on I just had to walk away from it for a while. I guess I'm just getting too old and cranky to be crawling around underneath a vehicle anymore.
Wait a minute…I didn’t realize I could call it “being honest”. I’m so relieved to hear I’m not being cranky. Now I can swear at my EB and feel good about being honest. Lol
