looking at buying a BC broncos soft top.

anyone running a birch or white top.

They suggest you do not white do to care and staining.

My bronco is original wimbledon white and candy apple red and I would think the birch might work but the white could as well?

Anyone have experiences with either color and can post a pic.

Hello BigMuddy!

I run a white BC top - trying to remember where I purchased the frame...
I pondered this same question when ordering the soft part white or birch; I had the cloth swatches as well. Fact is, the white is a little too white and the birch is a little to dark to perfectly match wimbledon white. Since I have white wagon wheels and some white stripes (whiter that wimbledon white), I decided to get the white top even against BC's recommendation.
I looked back and it seems I purchased this in spring 2021, so 5 or so seasons ago. That roughly works out to 50k miles ago.
I have never aggressively cleaned the top and it may see some soap a time or two a year. I think it still looks great (maybe a bit dingy on the rear side), but I have ZERO regrets going with the white. My Bronco is commonly garaged at night, but sits out all day 7+ months a year.

Cheers,
Lawndart

I think it depends where you live? If you live in an area with lots of tree sap, crazy amounts of polllen or clay dust, it may be a hassle to clean and keep clean. That being said, there are lots of great car care products these days that offer a protective layer that could help from staining

I think I will go white. I am going to have to repaint the hood at some point (center is wim white) but I might try a slightly brighter color to match the top color to blend it in?

My rig really only sees good weather most of the year but I do live on a dusty gravel road.

Thanks,

Different question but how do you find the road noise?

I run 90% with the back and sides off - the "top" portion is relatively quiet and tensioned.
The top gets a little louder when the sides go in as there is some flapping here and there at highway speeds, but not bad.
I expected typical soft top noise when I started running it and it is better than typical - IMO.

Thanks Sean, I believe years ago I had a discussion with BC and they suggested the birch as being the closest to the Wimbledon white.

Thanks for the pics!

Here is the BC top in white. My wheels are Wimbledon White, and the top is a little brighter, so while not a perfect match, it’s pretty close. The Birch color, on the other hand, I don’t think it will be anywhere near.
