I went to a meet and greet this past Thursday to check out a club called "4x4Him". A Christian based 4x4 club. I Met some great people, and I was invited to join them on a trail ride on Monday for Memorial day.
The parking lot had around 15 jeeps, and sitting in the front row was my 69 bronco! The only bronco in a heard of jeeps.
It got a lot of attention and I was asked a lot of questions. A lot of people told me how they liked the old Broncos, but said they would worry about messing up a classic on a trail.

That's the way it is with my 4x4 club. I'm usually the only Ford on the trail. Lots of Jeeps and Toyotas.

My Awesome Bronco Story

About 2 months ago I came in from work and my wife told me to get ready to go because we were going to a benefit for a friends wife that had cancer.
When we went outside she climbed in the Bronco. I said you want to take it (no top no doors roadster resto) and she said yes because it was the local heep club hosting the event.;) She likes to stir the pot.
So we pulled up to the local fair grounds here in the middle of about 150 heeps. We saw a front row spot next to a buddy's heep so we parked and got out and walked to the pavilion. Everyone turned and looked and as we went under the pavilion about 50 of the people went out and surrounded the Bronco. I went and saw my buddy and his wife and then went back to Bronco.
As I walked up I heard "He put a V8 in it". I said no they came that way.
Another asked about the coil front end. Once again I said it came that way.
Needless to say it was the hit of their event and I WON BEST OF SHOW. I didn't even enter the competition.
EVERYONE loves Broncos. ;D;D

It's funny folks don't realize that the 66 Bronco came with a better chassis and running gear than most modern Jeeps. When I tell them my 76 came from the factory with a 9" rear, 44 front, and coil suspension they can't believe it.

Exactly. The peeps looking at mine thought I added the 44, coils etc.

Jon did you go add a title to my reply above;)
I didn't but there is one there now.
