Black vs Body Colored Engine Bay?

I went body color after first having it black. And KBuck was my inspiration. I may add the lips on the inside of the fenders to hide the wiring, but that's a project for later.

Far back in the 80's blacking out under the hood was the fad so I was young and followed suit. To this day I wish I had left it body color.

I've tried to remove it over the yrs but still have some places where it refuses to leave.

Pulling the motor soon to rebuild so will clean engine bay then n repaint body color.

Body color. IMO if black you're hiding something whether from yourself or others. It's not going to be as easy to see or spot leaks as they occur if black. Black also looks "backyard" like you did it yourself vs. having paint done by a professional shop.
