Looking to see best solution for eliminating air vent. Using drain hole for speedo cable since hydro clutch in speedo hole.

Do storage boxes make sense or does a vendor sell aluminum or plastic plate with gasket?

Storage boxes are excellent. WH has one that I like to use. Great fit and you can stash a big can of fix a flat or a quart or 2 of oil etc.

MIGS has made a few awesome blockoff plates for that spot. I made one out of sheet metal and used a foam gasket material to seal it.

Made my own plate and used black silicon to seal. Found a Vendor selling 1.5 body plug which fills the hole. (actually from Steel products)

Yep, storage makes sense to me. Although mine from WH just touches the underside of the hood so keep an eye on that.
