FL BLUE RANGER HOUNDSTOOTH FABRIC

Price: $ 60

I bought some bulk of what I consider VERY CLOSE to original blue houndstooth fabric. My seats are being sewn up now and I will include photos when finished. When the fabric is pleated the "black parts" of the houndstooth will come "closer together" to resemble the stock look. I will pass the savings on if any members of CB would like any without paying the high price SMS charges. $60/ yard shipped. A set of three bronco seats uses three yards.

The two patterns are close but the one you have is for the door panels. They are different than the seat cover patterns. Very close but different.

Good guess, but the pattern on the doors is actually a vinyl material. This pattern is the closest I've seen to the seats. What SMS sells is no closer to original. I will post some photos of the seats when they are finished. I think it will be very difficult to tell the original from the new.

I would like to see the finished product, I’m looking to refinish my 1975 Bronco Ranger seats soon

Man those came out killer! Do you happen to know how many yards of the houndstooth material it takes to do front and rear seats?

In the first post, seller mentions a set of 3 seats uses 3 yards.

I thought so because that’s what SMS told me when I initially tried to buy the fabric from them for some ridiculous amount. They wanted to sell me three yards. I believe two yards did it with some to spare!

Yeah, they try to sell additional. I have talked to a guy in Oregon who use to sell on eBay and had made over 100 sets. He said 1.5 yards for the inserts.

Tom Weisel! Man do I miss that guy!!!! He was a legend. He has struck gold and no longer needs to sew.
