Body Armor Hidden Hardware

Hoping the brain trust might have some good ideas for getting this done. My new bronco (the teal one) is getting rear quarter armor like the blue one. I’m trying to think of a good way to attach it without having any visible hardware.

Welding over bolt heads and smoothing them out would work but then I’m limited to one plane of attachment (the best way I can think of to say it).

Since there are bolts that need to coming form the side, rear, and top it makes it more difficult in my head.

Ideas?

Assuming that the armor plates are thick enough you could drill and tap it, then install the bolts from the backside. Grind flush whatever sticks out on the front side.

A non-fastener option would be to use 3M's VHB instead. At 80 psi + holding strength with enough tape length I doubt that you could tear them off. < I'm sure that suggestion will send some into orbit. Consider that those impossibly smooth side panels on the $1/4 mil+ pusher RV's are held on with VHB, which is why you don't see any rivet heads, screws or other mechanical fasteners holding them on. Granted, no one is rubbing them against rocks, but they proportionately also don't use very much tape either.
