I have a little while before the body comes off the frame but I am starting to look for ideas on a body cart. I have seen a lot of pictures and videos and seen metal ones and wood ones and I am not sure what the best course of action is. any input would be greatly appreciated!! I am good with either wood or metal so lay it on me... dimensions, designs, whatever.

thanks!

I would just google it with /classicbronco and see what comes up. I am sure someone will chime in.

I have built two of these

http://www.corvette-restoration.com/resources/technical_papers/Body_Dolly.pdf

They have sat outside for years and still work great. Obviously you need to revise your dimension some (not a lot Bronco and Corvette bodies are skinny and on a 98" wheelbase)

I also cut one down by removing the front part and I put my hardtop on it - fits great! Then I can roll it outside and out of the way when I need room.

PM me a cell I can text pics too. Timing is good as body is on the chassis right now. There are some pics in my build thread I think and maybe in replies to similar questions

I just finished building a cart/rotisserie from 11 g 1x2", and modified a pair of HF engine stands to make them taller and to orient the swivel horizontally. I plan on leaving the roll cage in place on the Bronco so I didn't brace the aft end as much as the front.

Wow that is really nice.

The HF engine stand avenue is the way to go. I did the same for my frame. Toying with adapting it to body cart when it comes time to paint this summer. Cheap way to go!

I've attached the basic drawings I made and used; I haven't put it up on the Bronco yet, but it should fit (no guarantees). I didn't illustrate the wheels or the corner braces; the braces used a 4 inch inner length to the angle. The engine stands were each extended 11" using two each 3/16" 1 inch square tube per stand.
