Body weight question

This is probably a stupid question, but who else should I ask other than a bunch of Bronco nuts.
I read on here that the body by itself weights about 350 lbs. I don't know if that's with all of the panels, doors, and the tailgate, or just a stripped down body.
I'm guessing stripped down, because the doors and tailgate are pretty heavy by themselves.
I need to loosen all the body mounts to make sure the body is sitting square on the frame.
My guess is that it is about a 1/2" off either front or back.

Some of you may have seen another post of mine regarding body alignment.
I didn't want to start another post, but this is sort of a separate question.

I plant to do this with the seats and cage in place. I really don't want to remove everything.
The cage is not attached to the frame. Some day but not yet.
It's the family cage from wild horses. I'm guessing about 150 lbs. With front and rear seats, cage, and console, I'm guessing 650-900 lbs?

Once the body mounts are loose, what is the safest way to lift the body enough to give it a little movement?

I've never installed a body lift, but I imagine it's a smilar process.
I don't want to take a chance of tweaking the body.

Any advice would help.

Thanks.

Why lift it? Loosen the mounts and shove it around at will.
If there’s movement available, it should show up easily.

The mounts will be clamped to the frame, no matter what. If you are able to loosen all eight bolts, it’s the body that will slide on top of the mount “sandwich“ so to speak.
It’s just a flat surface on a flat surface, with no anchor points or registers.
The the insulators/cushions clamp to the mounting points on the frame with a clamshell arrangement. Those are a bear to get off, so unless you’re planning to replace the mounts or add a body lift, leave them intact.
I wouldn’t even remove the bolts. Just loosen them up and have at it.

If you do decide to lift the body, make sure you check all the points that will interfere. We can walk you down that list too, but at this point, you shouldn’t need it.
Although, you might still consider loosening the fan shroud just in case.
