Just went thru the build. Love all the pictures. A real family affair, which is a great way to get things done and enjoy the journey. Your DAD would be proud of all that you are doing. Almost there!

This part of the build is really making me nervous. So many things are coming together but putting the dash back in, all the wiring etc keeps me up at night!. Then trying to fire the motor for the first time. I am a wreck!

Not a lot done this weekend. I did get the power booster and master cylinder mounted and new brake lines bent to the frame. Also got the carb mocked up and kick down rod is lengthened and I have mocked up the new throttle linkage but still working on it. Also got the cage primed.

X2, oh and thanks for posting the FB body manual. I have a very old one my dad bought for his Michigan Bronco. He got it apart, but never had a chance to put it back together.

No Problem on the manual. I was shocked that my dad saved it! We were going thru some stuff at my mom's house and came across them. I have it with my build stuff now It brought back so many memories from when my dad and I did the build the first time 20 plus years ago.....

The last couple of days have been very productive. Got the windshield back in. Thanks for the advice on the dish washing soap! I also use a small cord that I put in the gasket and push the gasket /window up to the frame and pull on the cord and it pulls the gasket into the correct side of the frame.

I re-torqued the heads and my minor water leak disappeared. Added the steering stabilizer, The boot over the 4wd lever, finished up the dash wiring. I am waiting on speaker wire to arrive so I can get that run to speakers. I cut the holes for the front speakers. Put the vent in on the drivers side. Added the windshield wiper motor. Brakes are blead. I actually started it last night and with the rear on jack stands ran it thru the gears. The guy that re-did my C4 told me that is the best way to break in a rebuilt transmission. I have to take a break from it for a short while. Going on a mission trip with my church. Stay tuned for when I get back.

Got the last of the wiring under the dash, added the speakers that are behind the cage and added the seats to the cage before we set in in the chassis. Seats are much easier to mount before putting it the body.

Got the cage back in last night and started to install the top. Cage scratched up some of the bedliner going in so I have some extra of that for repair. What a good feeling that it is almost ready to paint the outside. I need to get the soft top installed and make sure it fits right. All the holes drilled etc then I can put the outside paint on it. The WH cage fits nice and looks great but it is a real bear to get in without rubbing a side or 2....
