Mtfit, great job!!
I'm in love with your engine compartment, what do you have in there?
What paint did you use for the innerfenders and firewall?
This is one of those Broncos I had to call my wife over to the computer to look at!

I saw a thread not too long ago with a picture of this Bronco and it said that mtfit had $60K into it. Not sure if true, but I believe it.

Oh yeah..I definitely saw it at Carlisle....I took a picture of it and blew it up to a 8x10 as what I want to do with mine.

Thanks guys, HO 302 rebuilt w/ edelbrock manifold, rochester 4 barrel, WH headers, upgraded everything else. My goal was a functional, cool, Bronco I could drive everyday. Yes, I do drive it.
As with most projects, the build got alittle out-of-hand. 60k? every bit.

The color is silver and darker shade of gray, I got the paint colors from the Warn lights on the front, bodyshop matched the colors nicely. Inside the fenderwells is a textured paint used on fiberglass to prevent stone chips, its sprayed on first, then painted body color same as the engine compartment, oil pan, etc.
The suspension is Cage silver (which is close to body color), with black bumpers, wheels, top, rock-skis.

dash and custom touches

WOW!,
I saw this as a rolling chassis that was at Roundup last June and was sure that with the level of detail in it, the rest of the rig would be of equal quality! I spent some time with Drew (Broncitis) looking it over at the event and know that he spent lots of time on all the little things to really make Bill's rig stand out from the rest. Drew incorporated lots of cool fab work, CNC laser work, etc.

Although it looks sweet in the pics, you should see the quality of work up close and personal! I can't wait to see it this year now that the body is on and its finished. I think he did this whole rig in less than a year!

I'd like to see some more pics of what all went into this build!

Congrats Bill, you've got a very sweet rig there!

Karl,

I missed this thread the first time around? ?:?

Thanks for the PM about the pics. I have about 1500-1600 pics that I took during the build! I still need to get these all in some order and burned onto a CD for Bill.

I'll see if I can find some good ones to post when I get home. Yes, it was about 11 months to build this rig. Longer than we had orignally planned, but it ended up getting a couple more things done to it ;)

It actually even smelled like a brand new car when it was done! (seriously) ;D

Thanks, Karl, nice compliment from a guy with a first class rig, I look forward to having a good looking truck you wheel like yours someday.

Here are the only three I had with me at work on a thumb drive....I have some of the dash pics during contruction at home. Not sure if I have many finished interior shots, but Bill should. I have more in-process pics than finished pics.

Here are some random pics I pulled form some of the thumnails. I'll have to look through them and see what else might be of interest.

Dash with panel I designed and had laser cut. (the dash is upside down on the floor). The "junk tray" was not a radio hole. It was designed to duplicate the storage tray in my Super Duties dash where I keep my wallet, cell phone, etc. I put a 12V outlet under it for Bill's phone charger.

I started and had most al of this done in the actual dash, but the warpage due to cutting, welding, etc. would have taken too much time to get the dash as flat as needed for this rig and time was running out since the rig had already missed the Roundup and needed to be at the Bloomsburg Jamboree. Since I already had the design in CAD, I emailed the file to a local shop to be cut.

Firewall heat shield applied to lower firewall and trans tunnel. Works very well to keep heat down!

Partially detailed engine and drivetrain shots.

One-off fuel tank skid with laser cut horse and script with stainless background (not installed in on vehicle test fit pic).
