I see some people use regular brake lines for their conversion while others do like Broncobowsher did in his tech article. is Bowsher's route necessary or does the lines like in motoman's web site work just fine? Just don't want to waste money on something I don't need. are there any other advantages to braided stainles lines. I've read they make the brakes more responsive but has anybody actually noticed a difference? anybody remember how much the regular lines ran them from a parts store?

Not certain on the braided stainless lines. However, I used the regular brake lines and everything seems to work fine with no binding.

I did a direct change on my 86 Capri with a 5.0L from rubber to stainless braided and nothing else at that time on my front disks. I did in fact notice a nice improvement in the pedal feeling quite a bit harder. Would I change them unless the old ones were needing to replaced? Probably not. I would upgrade if you need new ones but not if the rubber ones are still good....It's just too much money, in my book. But.....if you want top notch braking, go for it!

I used the rubber lines and routed them the same as Bowsher's. Working flawless and no signs of rubbing/wearing.
