HELP! I'm rebuilding a '74 Bronco and I've got an issue. I had a broken windshield retention bolt stuck in the threaded post on the right side. I tried to heat it, spray it, grip it and ease it out, and ended up breaking the post plate from the inside of the hole in the windshield. Now, I think the only fix is to push the plate and broken bolt up inside the frame. I think I need to cut a slot up under the windshield, and slide a threaded plate up in behind the hole, J-welding it in to be used for my new rentention bolt. Any other options? Thanks, Erik.
